Satori - (Japanese) "sudden awakening", or simply "kick in the eye"
A skin after one of those exquisite ephemeral ethereal experiences, where
we have a glimpse of the arcane universe and believe, even for a moment, that we
possess all the answers to life and love.
I'm trying to follow a "personal" course of art, so you may understand why
my works will somewhat be surreal, and a bit poor on functionality (understand that
the symbols here ARE part of the theme - of illumination [click on the symbols and
you will see]).
A fragment of thought:
I'm beginning to abhor the concept of art now, its being equated with technical
skill, though I have tremendous respect for the skilled beings, and I am trying my best
to be one myself, although right now I am more attracted to ideas, feelings, the
intangibles...
If you like my work, I would prefer that it not be because you think it superbly
done, but that we have achieved emotional resonance.
