Jade was the daughter of the first Green Lantern, Alan Scott, and twin sister to Obsidian. Her powers were natural because of her parents, she never required a Green Lantern ring. Her father introduced her to Kyle Rayner, the current Green Lantern. The two fell in love and Kyle eventually gave Jade a Ring as an engagement ring and membership into the Green Latern Corps, which he was rebuilding at the time. Although she couldn't accept it at first, the two eventually engaged...
But destiny still has plans...
