Hi there, thanks for downloading my second Winamp skin
release – 1313. You've obviously got some good taste :).
= Intro =
This is my second Winamp skin, it is made from scratch in
Photoshop 5.5. Nothing is borrowed from other people's skins.
The skin incudes everything that needs to be skinned, that is:
Main window, EQ, PL, MB, and all the winshades.
It was pretty much inspired by the soundtracks from 'Me, Myself
And Irene' and 'M:I-2', and by the 'Theme from Gutbuster' by
Bentley Rhytm Master.
= Tools Used =
Skinner – just for cutting out the skin images so that I don't
have to make them myself
Photoshop 5.5 – for all the work on gfx
Viseditor and Notepad – for the viscolor.txt and pledit.txt
= System Requirements =
The skin will should look good in any res. Use at least 16 bit color
depth so that the skin will look properly.
Also to make this skin look better please use the following
vis options:
Analyzer options: normal style, peaks on, thick bands
Winshade VU options: Smooth VU
= N.A.Q. (Never Asked Questions) =
Q: Why is this called 1313?
A: Cause 13 is my favorite number :).
Q: What font have you used for all the elements in the skin?
A: It's called 'Earthworm Jim', it can be easily found on the net.
Q: Why don't you skin AVS?
A: Because AVS is just a plugin. I make Winamp skins, not plugin
skins :P.
Q: May I borrow something from your skin?
A: NO. And don't even email me, 'cause I won't give you the
permission anyway.
Q: And i what are you gonna do with someone who copied your skin?
A: I'm gonna take a hatchet, trace the home address of that
motherf***er, and chop him into million little pieces. >:]
Q: A lot of people make a lot of Winamp skins, and you make
skins so rarely. Why?
A: Cause the most important thing is quality, not quantity. I know
there are a lot of people out there who just put a hunred pics
into Skinner, save a hundred of skins looking the same way,
and then call themselves 'skin makers'. I really hate that cause
that's f***ing LAME. It's better to make two clean, original
and functional skins than make a million of buggy skins looking
the same way.
Q: Are you gonna make another skin and what's is gonna be?
A: Yeah, I'm planing on making a next Winamp skin, I want it to
be a surprise, so all I can tell is the skin will be based on a
pretty known Sega Genesis game (No, it's not about Sonic :P).
Q: Why is this secton called Never Asked Questions?
A: Cause noone ever asked me these questions :).
